Evaluation of Citizen Schools’ Expanded Learning Time Model: Final Report

Abt Global has been working as an evaluation partner with Citizen Schools since 2010, to learn how schools are implementing and integrating the Citizen Schools ELT model, and whether participation in ELT affects students’ shorter-term behavioral and aspirational outcomes as well as students’ academic performance. The evaluation was designed to examine implementation and impact from the beginning of Citizen Schools’ national ELT expansion in fall 2010. This final report summarizes what the evaluation has learned about ELT implementation and outcomes over five consecutive school years, from 2010–11 through 2014–15.
