Abt Global generates evidence to help clients address tough challenges—in education, housing, child welfare, employment, and public health. Our researchers implement equitable processes to collect and analyze vast amounts of data, producing frequently cited studies. Does a program reduce food insecurity and improve nutrition? Does a COVID-19 vaccine wane in effectiveness against a new virus variant? Our global interdisciplinary teams—research methodologists, statisticians, ethnographers, economists, epidemiologists, data scientists, and implementation research scientists— help policymakers answer such questions. They assess if programs work to improve people’s lives, and if not, how to best resolve them.

Our Approach and Results

Our innovative, equity-focused, and adaptable RME approaches include systematic evidence reviews and randomized controlled trials. We conduct research that engages and uplifts the voices of impacted communities and explores tough questions, such as how to eliminate bias in evaluations. We harness artificial intelligence enhancements and our own online tools to increase reviews’ efficiency and accuracy.
