Acknowledgement of Country

Abt Global acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised that this website may contain images and voices of deceased people.

Promoting Indo-Pacific Prosperity and Stability

From offices in Australia and across the Indo-Pacific, Abt offers strong technical and operational capacity undergirding a proven record of achieving positive outcomes for the region’s people, including in Fiji, Indonesia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Samoa, and the Solomon Islands.

Our teams work in partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Across all our programs, we empower local stakeholders and communities to lead on strategic decisions through socially responsible local systems and approaches.

Advancing Quality of Life in Australia

In Australia, First Nations people continue to experience poorer life outcomes in areas as diverse as life expectancy, education, employment, incarceration rates, and family safety.

Abt’s mission is to advance health and economic well-being for all. Doing so requires applying a social justice lens to identify and address historic and systemic inequities.

In Australia, that means taking Reconciliation seriously, putting in place actionable steps towards lasting change.  Across the country, we work closely with First Nations people and Australian Government, State and Territory Departments to build relationships and lay the foundations for healthy, flourishing and fulfilling lives.

Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) confirms our commitment to Australia’s reconciliation journey Australia.  It identifies focus areas where we believe we can have a positive impact and achieve the best outcomes towards reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both within the company and in the communities in which we operate.
